Bitcoin Trezor Reviewed – Safe or Not?

In this post I am going to share my Review on TREZOR. As you might know that the TREZOR is a Device that seems to be an Optimal Solution for Bitcoin Security and what if it gets stolen? Well, the security measure we are going to see here will help you to prevent your Bitcoin even if someone steals your TREZOR device.

What is different about TREZOR and why?

TREZOR is an offline bitcoin Wallet which holds your private Pincodes and sign a transaction without the need of internet. It seems like it acts as a very high level secure cold storage offline but still it allows you flexibility when you want to use your bitcoins. Device is very small and unique and you can carry is handy in your pocket anywhere. So that you can have your secured bitcoin in your pocket and you can use it whenever you want to use. You only need to connect this device to any PC and wallah you can spend it. This device is completely secure and even if you laptop is infected still you can use it safely.

First let’s see how to set up

To set this device is very simple. You just need to plug the device in your PC and install a “bridge” allow the Trezor device to communicate with your PC or Laptop and will follow the instructions.

Security Pin Setup

Whenever you connect the TREZOR device to your Laptop or PC it will ask for a security pin code to recognize that you are the owner of this device like you are the OWNER. The setup has the very clever mixture of your PC and Trezor Device so that it will be very difficult to crack your secure PIN. Each time it will come up with some numbers and ask you to tick those numbers on your PC.

Meanwhile the display of the actual numbers is only visible on your TREZOR:

Even if someone is keeping eye on your keystrokes, won’t be able to know what the pin is, because when you set up your Pin first time. You have to type the PIN 2 times but make sure the numbers display on TREZOR device change in between 2 entries.
